2016 Travel Log

This page is our travel log for the year 2016. This way our family and friends can see where we visited and stayed at throughout the year as well as future confirmed reservations on where we will be staying or are planning to be staying at. We will update this page as we travel or should our travel plans change. The oldest entry is at the top of the page and the most recent entry is at the bottom of the page. We started traveling fulltime on June 22, 2011; we started living fulltime in our RV in May 2010 while we were preparing our home for sale and selling off most of our possessions. This is our 5th year of fulltime traveling and our 6th year of living fulltime in our motor coach.

Here is a link to Our Visited Places; this is our page listing all of the places that we have been to together "as a couple" since 1996.

05/01/16 - 05/08/16 McKinney, TX Camped at MCD Innovations in McKinney, TX for 7 nights in a 50 Amp electric only site for free. We had all pleated shades removed from the entire coach, and had the MCD Gold Series Shade System installed. All Day Shades in the driver/passenger cab area as well as the front windshield Night Shade were connected to the existing electrical system & rocker switches. All other shades throughout the motorcoach were installed as manual shades. This is a major motorcoach upgrade for us. These new shades are not pleated nor do they have any strings; they provide a superior thermal barrier against both heat/cold; they are much better looking making all windows blacked out; they are much easier to clean than the pleated shades; the day shades also allow us to block out 80% of the sun/to see outside through the day shades/do not allow anyone to see inside through the day shades; and they allow us to see out through the entire length of the windows. The Day Shades are see through black, and the Night Shades are golden brown facing inside & white reflective facing outside. We have been planning for this upgrade the past 3 years now, and it was nice to have it completed right at the factory where they are made. The total cost out the door for parts, labor, and sales tax was $4,523.77 (Parts $3,989.00 / Labor $190.00 / 8.25% Tax of $344.77).

This is an Interval International elite resort that we acquired by exchanging one week with one of the timeshares we already own (WorldMark & Vacation Internationale). We love timesharing and we love exchanging timeshares with Interval International!!!

Note: During our 20 night stay on Hilton Head Island, SC, we parked our RV in this storage facility at Tuck In The Wood Campground & RV Park. This RV charges $45.00 per month for RV storage (30 day minimum), which was still a good price for our 20 night use.

Here is a link to Our Visited Places; this is our page listing all of the places that we have been to together "as a couple" since 1996.
